Sizing Information for Chaps

All of our apparel items are sized. Please refer to the specific items for the CORRESPONDING SIZE CHART for individual item for select correct size. Our products come from a variety of manufacturers. Sizing standards vary with each manufacturer.

Chaps Sizing

Chaps are based on thigh measurement about 4” down from your crotch OVER your pants! The waist is adjustable both in front and back. You want them to be snug not loose. You should be able to fit 3 fingers under the chaps, only three.

Chaps are generally 36” long from the crotch to the hem (called the inseam) and the customer cuts them to the correct length as they determine.  Note:  Be sure to measure the bottom cut with your boots on!

LOW-Rise Chaps that fit at the hip are also based on the thigh measurement, not the hip. If you are concerned with the thigh being too tight, try the “RIB” Chaps that give a little extra.  Remember the chaps still can adjust at the hip in the front and the back.  Petite women look best in the Low-Rise chaps.

Note:  The waist size below is measured with the "Center Loop" buckled in the front. There are still at least two buckle loops to make the waist 2-3 inches larger or smaller.  The Larger sizes have up to 7 buckle loops total, giving another 4-5" either way.  Extenders are available to add to the back if you need up to Six more inches.
